If the Fall anime season has taught me anything, it’s that overly verbose think pieces, knee-jerk cash-ins on controversy, and poorly constructed hot takes are at an all-time high in the community.
If I had to list something else, it would be having a strong filter for all of that is as important as ever.
Between the uptick in anime critics clumsily trying to ride their moral high horse through their content, all the way down to the vast array of tedious arguments irrelevant to the grander goals of their respective anime, and everything in the middle – Fall has had plenty of noise over its run to tune out.
And frankly, that’s the long and short takeaway of this entry:
“Tune out the noise”
Short and sweet but extremely relevant to keep in mind moving forward as there’s bound to be more “noise” sooner or later.
I apologize if you expected something lengthier or more elaborate, but that’s seriously it.
Your quality of life will significantly improve once you realize there’s a lot of online discussions not worth having and even more threads and headlines not worth clicking on.
