Kanojo Okarishimasu’s latest offering is executed deep in its genre’s wheelhouse, but inevitably made surprisingly entertaining with the direction that it took.
And suddenly, six weeks have passed. Half the anime season is in the grave and we’re now coasting downhill until we reach Fall.
The fourth showing of The God of High School is here, amazing in its way to story-tell and texture characters while maintaining complete ignorance when it comes to the fundamentals that make those aspects effective.
Unexpectedly solid visual effort: featuring some nice layouts and attractive composition that worked well to complement the gravity of what was occurring.
Immediately noticeable is that this series’ grasp of shot framing is still intact: Characters, especially Yui and Yukino, are often aligned in ways that subtly feature the comparative emotional length between them
Looks like it’s time for the first wave of new summer premieres.
