Closing out in style, Akudama Drive manages one last propulsively polished episode
Majo no Tabitabi departs with a competent episode, showcasing various potential results of Elaina’s travels and anchoring them all back to the essence of her character in the end that makes for a nice thematic finish.
Once again, Adachi to Shimamura executed an episode that’s tightly in its genre’s wheelhouse with a fair amount of tact and grace.
This was a really pleasing turnout from Jujutsu Kaisen on both sides of the coin – delivering an immersive production effort down to the tacks and pushing out a level of healthy scripting that heartily understands its mood shifts and hooks.
Akudama Drive’s fifth turnout is another good one, shifting gears from its vibrant, bombastic nature to a quiet, character-driven showing with really no visible troubles at all.
We’re now just stacking good episodes on top of good episodes in Munou na Nana, and it’s starting to feel a little underrated in the bigger picture of Fall’s catalog
Majo no Tabitabi is a pretty work at face value, but its beauty is almost always underlined with a careful dusting of emotional text.
